Old habits die hard

“We Ukrainians have been given a unique opportunity to reboot our country. Something like this never happens”

-Serhiy Leshchenko

“What I understood from Yulia Tymoshenko’s speech is that she is still feeling euphoric after being released from jail and has not understood that the Maidan has changed, and that politics have also changed. With the utmost respect, I beg her not to run for president. Give way to the young heroes of the Maidan. Meanwhile, it’s worth looking at an old but still meaningful video where Georgiy Gongadze looks Tymoshenko right in the eye and says, ‘Mrs. Tymoshenko brought to politics the ways that she was used to in business: take advantage of the moment and move on to a different level. Especially if the right kind of patronage is involved. Unfortunately, you are doomed to continue behaving this way throughout your future political career.'”
